About

Our Nutrition Mission

Food has a role to provide us with the necessary carbohydrates, fat, fiber, protein, minerals, and vitamins that our body desires for daily life. Food can also take a toll on our bodies depending on our sources of food and the amounts of certain foods we choose. Inflammatory foods can cause disruption in biochemical pathways and lack of certain foods can hinder our biochemical pathways. What happens when these biochemical pathways do not communicate well? Upon deciphering all the information you provide me with, I can then map out a nutrition plan that works for your symptoms.

My clients are often frustrated, sick, and tired of trying diets that have led them on a path of inflammation. I will work with you, because I can relate to you. You are unique in your genetic makeup and integrative nutrition is here to provide the necessary pieces of the puzzle that have been missing in your life. Integrative nutrition touches on the following topics: diet, digestion, movement, stress, and sleep which all affect your health.

My mission is to help you nutritionally.

How We Work

Deciphering all the information you have provided to me, I structure a plan that works best for your life. I analyze, ask questions, and listen to your needs. You tend to see results after a few visits, which gives you hope and indication of being on the proper path. Testing for micronutrients, food sensitivity, stool tests, and sex hormones could be part of your individualized approach, but it could also be meal planning, cooking directions, or grocery lists that will aid your progress.

Are you just surviving or are you living? Do you have a struggle to start your day due to lack of energy, a lack of desire to cook, a lack of clarity in decision making, an inability to eat the foods due to inflammation, an inability to regulate body temperature, a feeling of fatigue, or a fear of eating food due to cross-contamination? Part of living means feeling good and knowing what you need nutritionally on a daily basis so you can live your optimal life. Are you in need of nutritional direction? Take time for yourself and contact me.

I have a passion for nutrition and have a vast knowledge of its field. I continue to learn and research, but I am also willing to work hard to find solutions to your nutritional needs. I take on each client with compassion, joy, and an open heart to work on their needs. It is my goal to touch every client on a nutritional level that serves a greater purpose for generations to follow.

Biography

I worked in conventional healthcare for 22 years and continue to do so in radiology. I have been a business consultant for small businesses because they matter to our communities. I owned a cafe and a laboratory, and learned from both businesses what is necessary to educate the next generations to follow. I am nestled in a small town with my lovely husband, four kids, and two dogs. My journey in life and passion was always nutrition, so I ventured on my own to seek its knowledge and graduated from Maryland University of Integrative (MUIH) Master’s in Science and Integrative Health program. During my internship at MUIH, I worked with Joy Wellness in Baltimore, MD and Maryland Psychiatric Research Center in Catonsville. I gained a strong foundation learning about various nutritional needs and built a wonderful network of connections in my field.

My passion is people and their well-being, so I come to you with an open mind and the knowledge to guide you to where you need my expert advice in that moment of life today. Reach out to me with any questions or concerns.  I enjoy conversing and connecting.

I am a veteran of the US Navy. I enjoy research and learning about updated information in the nutrition world. I love traveling, soccer, reading, music, and cooking. Let my mission to nutrition help you create a map that has a destination of health.
